Google Sheets Integration

Connect WalkLists to Google Sheets

Send every contact your team captures at the door straight into a Google Sheet — free, no Zapier subscription, no code. WalkLists creates a spreadsheet in your Google Drive and appends new and updated contacts as rows, in real time. Setup takes about a minute.

What you’ll need

  • A WalkLists account, signed in as an organisation manager (you connect it once for your whole team).
  • A Google account — any free Google/Gmail account works.
  • About a minute. Nothing to install, no API keys to copy.

1 Open Account → Automations

  1. Sign in to WalkLists and go to Account → Automations.
  2. Find the “Connect Google Sheets — free” card and click Connect Google Sheets.

2 Sign in with Google and allow access

  1. Choose the Google account you want the spreadsheet to live in.
  2. Click Allow. WalkLists asks only to create and edit the one spreadsheet it makes for you — it can’t see anything else in your Google Drive.

See a “Google hasn’t verified this app” screen? That can appear while our Google listing is still in review — it’s expected and safe. Click Advanced → Go to WalkLists to continue. The connection uses Google’s official, secure sign-in and only the limited “files WalkLists creates” permission.

3 WalkLists creates your sheet

  1. You’re taken back to WalkLists with a green “Google Sheets connected” confirmation.
  2. A new spreadsheet called “WalkLists Contacts” now sits in your Google Drive, with the columns already set up. There’s an Open the sheet link on the Automations card.

4 Watch rows appear

  1. Add or update a contact in WalkLists — at the door, in an import, or in the app.
  2. Within seconds a new row appears in your sheet, ready to sort, filter, chart or share.

What each row contains

Every new or updated contact appends a row with these columns:

Column From WalkLists
First Name first name
Last Name last name
Email email
Phone phone
Address street address
City city
State state
Zip ZIP

Appends are real-time and one-way (WalkLists → your sheet). Editing the sheet by hand never changes your WalkLists data.

If something goes wrong

New contacts aren’t appearing as rows

The sync applies to contacts added or edited after you connected — it doesn’t back-fill your existing contacts. Make sure the connection still shows as connected on Account → Automations.

Where is my spreadsheet?

It’s in the Google Drive of the account you connected, named “WalkLists Contacts.” Use the Open the sheet link on the Automations card to jump straight to it.

I want to turn it off

Click Disconnect on Account → Automations any time. Your spreadsheet stays in your Drive; WalkLists simply stops adding rows.
