Connect HubSpot to WalkLists
Send every contact your team captures at the door straight into HubSpot — free, no Zapier subscription, no code. New and updated contacts sync automatically, deduplicated by email. Setup takes about a minute.

What you’ll need
- • A WalkLists account, signed in as an organisation manager (you connect it once for your whole team).
- • A HubSpot account — the free HubSpot CRM works; nothing paid is required.
- • About a minute. There’s nothing to install and no API keys to copy.
1 Open Account → Automations
- Sign in to WalkLists and go to Account → Automations.
- Find the green “Connect HubSpot — free” card.
- Click Connect HubSpot. WalkLists sends you to HubSpot to sign in.
2 Authorize the connection in HubSpot
- HubSpot asks which account to connect. Choose the portal you want contacts to sync into.
- Review the permissions (WalkLists requests read & write access to contacts) and click Connect app.
- You’re signed in through HubSpot’s own secure page — WalkLists never sees your HubSpot password.
Seeing an “unverified app” notice? That’s expected and safe. HubSpot shows it for every app whose public marketplace listing is still in review — it isn’t a warning about your data. The connection uses HubSpot’s official, secure OAuth sign-in. Click “I understand the risks, continue” to proceed.
3 You’re connected
- HubSpot sends you back to WalkLists, where you’ll see a green “HubSpot connected” confirmation with your portal number.
- That’s it — no further setup. The connection is for your whole organisation.
4 Watch it sync
- Add or update a contact in WalkLists — at the door, in an import, or in the app.
- Within seconds it appears in HubSpot under Contacts, matched on email so you never get duplicates.
- From there it’s ready for your sequences, deals and follow-up.
What syncs today
Every new or updated contact, with these fields mapped into the standard HubSpot properties:
| WalkLists | HubSpot property |
|---|---|
| First name | firstname |
| Last name | lastname |
email (used to dedupe) |
|
| Phone | phone |
| Address | address |
| City | city |
| State | state |
| ZIP | zip |
A contact needs an email to sync — that’s how WalkLists and HubSpot keep the same person as one record. Door activity and deals are on the roadmap.
If something goes wrong
A contact didn’t show up in HubSpot
Check that the contact has an email address — contacts without one don’t sync (there’s nothing to dedupe on). Also make sure it was added or edited after you connected; the sync applies to changes going forward, not your existing back-catalogue.
I connected the wrong HubSpot account
On Account → Automations, click Disconnect, then Connect HubSpot again and choose the right portal.
The connection stopped working
If you removed WalkLists from HubSpot’s connected apps, just reconnect from Account → Automations. Syncing is best-effort by design, so a HubSpot hiccup never blocks your team’s work in the field.
I want to turn it off
Click Disconnect on Account → Automations any time. Nothing is deleted from HubSpot; WalkLists simply stops sending updates.
