What posts to Slack

  • New contact — name, email, phone and city, the moment it’s added.
  • Door result — the disposition a rep logs (e.g. “Hot lead”), with their note.

1 Create a Slack incoming webhook

  1. Go to api.slack.com/appsCreate New AppFrom scratch. Name it “WalkLists”, pick your workspace.
  2. In the app, open Incoming Webhooks and turn it On.
  3. Click Add New Webhook to Workspace, choose the channel you want alerts in, and Allow.
  4. Copy the Webhook URL (it starts with https://hooks.slack.com/services/).

2 Paste it into WalkLists

  1. In WalkLists, open Account → Automations.
  2. On the Slack card, paste the webhook URL and click Connect.
  3. A confirmation message posts to your channel right away. Use Send test any time to re-check.

If something goes wrong

“That doesn’t look like a Slack webhook URL”

The URL must start with https://hooks.slack.com/services/. Copy it again from the Incoming Webhooks page.

Nothing is posting

Alerts fire on contacts added/updated and door results logged after you connect. Click Send test on the Slack card to confirm the webhook still works; if it fails, the webhook may have been revoked in Slack — create a new one and reconnect.

Turn it off

Click Disconnect on Account → Automations any time.
